Day 17
Ive been logging in regually over the last few and checking the prices of tussar roots the average price for them seems to settle around 15s each , quite abit more than i would like to be paying but i'll cope.
So every time i find some below that price ive been buying them up ready for today when i try and push another couple of levels... i think the trick to buying your harvests for expensive harvests is to keep your eye's on the market, eventually someone will price some at a rate you can afford.
Like today for example, i log in first thing and i find 6 stacks of tussar roots at less than 6s each go me :P If like me you try and do most of your crafting with vitality theres really no harm keeping an eye out for the raws you need even on days you waiting for vitality to build up.
im 30th level and going into todays crafting with 8 stacks of Tussar Roots ready to rock.

Me again ;)
Why don´t you harvest your Tier 4 roots in the Enchanted Lands?
It is really easy at any level here, because there aren´t any aggro mobs in the first part of the zone...
Im lazy ... and i hate harvesting :p
It's also fairly easy to harvest in Zek near Three Toes lake if roots get too expensive.
Leiela, it's pretty cool what you're doing and I admire it, but I'm a little confused. This test is to see if someone can go from 1 to 70 without any adventuring or outside help, right?
The only problem I can see in the first place is getting money to start you off. For each tier, I would say a rare, when sold, yields enough coin to pay for a the whole tiers costs. If this is the case, someone would just need to harvest and sell one, maybe two rares at each tier.
I'm not sure where the difficulty lays in this experiemnt.
I think the key here is that although a rare if sold "can" finance a tier .. it really depends if you do your own harvesting, but in playing a pure crafter you then have to deal with monster cons in order to do this, after all bookworms a 5th mage .. 1 hit in EL and she becomes a bloodstain on the floor. The alternative which is what im trying to do is "buy my harvests" ..at which point 1 rare doesn't covers a level nevermind a tier.
