What do you guys think?

Ok interest seems to have tailed off abit, and i think thats mostly due to the fact that the test is pretty much over, as much as bookworms out 36th level she has money of her own and her wares are selling comfortably.

Im thinking about calling an end to the test as i feel ive proven all i need too... the tough part was always going to be the early levels when she had no money and needed to buy her books and raws.

I could continue running the test till she hit 70th but tbh im not sure theres much point she's doing fine and im sure theres not much that could go wrong now that would prevent her grinding to 70th.

However ill leave it for you guys to decide if you want me to continue i can, either way ill be grinding bookworm to 70th at some point but id kinda like my vault slots back :p

Locking at your sells is a bit unbelievable.

I have a tailor too on a german server. i tryed to sell cloth parts for 40 gold. compared to your 30 gold for ruckas it is pretty cheap. But nobody bought it.
The linnen stuff for 70 gold per piece either.

It looks like you have to sell t1-t3 stuff to get to higher levels.

I think the rest of the tier and the next T5 would be difficult for you.

my sales are 100% acurate, i think the trick is to be careful what you make if there are 100 hats for sale for gods sake dont make another.

If there are no boots make 2 pairs :)

Sure T5 stuff doens't sell really well looking at the prices of T5 tailored stuff it's practically worthless on my server .. but that doens't mean i have to make it to get though the tier... the trick is and always has been make what sells.

I think it's proven the point, though I wouldn't mind seeing it continues, just to quash the naysayers.

I'd also like to see this experiment tried with a Sage. The only time I've ever made cash as a Sage was when I was the only T4-T5 sage on the server. After that, it slowed down. And trying to sell a pre-made Ad3 is ridiculous.

I've had a Fury main HoT Ad3 up for sale for 1/2 of the going rate for the rare used to make it. No one will buy it. I just don't see how you could be a "pure crafter" style sage and actually progress... especially if limiting yourself to buying your raws.

Thanks for doing this!

I still check in to see how you're doing, but not as rabidly as before. Now you're getting into the territory that I know is money for a Tailor, so I'm confident you're correct in your assessment.

Even if you go to 70 there will be naysayers. Even if you go to 70 and make thousands of plat there will be naysayers. Bully for them. They can stop crafting and leave the market to us. :)

funny you mention sages i have a 21st level sage and shes currently making more money than my 70th jewellar .. sages seem to be doing fine. hehe

I have debated perhaps doing a daily sales report that includes all my crafters, so people can see how each and EVERY one of my crafters is fairing in the world of evil undercutters and current market conditions.

All my crafters are various levels but they are all still profitable and viable.. so although it's impossible to do a true comparison across the class's it might provide people with a insight into how the class's are doing.

I would love to see sales posted by all of your crafts. I am currently averaging a plat and a half a day on my 63rd provie, 4-5 plat on carpenter, 2-3 plat on woodworker, 40 gold or so on sage (wife is 70 sage so she has that covered) not much on alcchemist maybe 10 or 15 gold.

I do push myself in market and am in big undercut war at the monet so this is sales and not profit.

Hey!
I would like to see the test going on!

I know you have proven, that it is still possible just to craft and make a decent amount of money.

But my problem ist, that the T6+ stuff is really expensive and not selling so well.
You just spend a lot of time and money in your skills and nobody wants to buy anything and if you get a job, no one will pay a decent amount of money, it is just weird.

So please continue with your test.
